GR10 takes its name from a local hiking trail that, remarkably, connects the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, running through the dramatic granitic landscape of the Sierra de Gredos. Like all 4 Monos reds—and indeed the majority of wines from Gredos—it is based on Garnacha, with this entry-level blend also including 10% Cariñena and 5% Syrah. Fermented spontaneously, the wine is primarily aged in large foudres, with a small portion matured in new 500-litre oak barrels.
