A dry red from the Rapel Valley in central Chile, this wine develops its character over eight months of ageing in American and French oak barrels, followed by a further three months’ rest in bottle.
It displays a deep purple colour and an expressive bouquet of dark fruits, enhanced by subtle notes of vanilla and almonds from the oak. On the palate, it is silky, with flavours of plum and raisin, vibrant fruitiness, and perfectly balanced tannins. The finish is pleasant and enduring.
An excellent companion to meat dishes, a board of matured cheeses, or cuisine with spicy seasonings. Its gentle character also makes it delightful enjoyed on its own.
