This powerful and warm wine is the result of a selection of exceptional terroirs. The Gigondas vineyards are situated on the arid slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail, regularly swept by the Mistral wind and surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation. With scarce soil, the ground is rocky, and in some places, the vines even grow directly on stone fields.
This cuvée is a traditional blend of Gigondas grape varieties, harvested by hand. The grapes are partially destemmed for fermentation, and a five-week maceration is employed to harness the character of this exceptional terroir. The wine is then matured for 24 months in stainless-steel or concrete vats.
