J. Lohr Estates South Ridge Syrah is grown on a mix of lime-rich and gravelly soils that help temper Syrah’s naturally vigorous growth. A portion of the Syrah is co-fermented with Viognier, lending delicate floral blossom aromatics. The final blend also includes 5% Grenache Noir, which brings candied strawberry notes, softens the texture, and extends the palate. A touch of Mourvèdre (1%) adds depth, intensifying Syrah’s characteristic peppery spice. This expressive red proudly carries the Certified California Sustainable seal.
