Hollick, Australia

In 1974, Ian Hollick purchased a parcel of grazing land on the southern edge of the Coonawarra district. This small block was one of the original allocations in the Coonawarra Fruit Colony established by John Riddoch in 1890. Ian and Wendy Hollick planted their first vines there in 1975 and, from these beginnings, one of Coonawarra’s iconic wine brands was born. Hollick Wines made its mark on the national and international stage by winning the prestigious Jimmy Watson Trophy at the 1985 Royal Melbourne Wine Show. Today, the Hollick name is synonymous with quality and consistency. The legacy of Ian Hollick as a viticultural pioneer continues, with the estate producing classic Coonawarra varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Riesling, and Chardonnay. In recent years, the range has expanded to include Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, and Barbera, further showcasing Hollick’s spirit of innovation.
